The Symposium is an annual conference that has been held every Spring since 1971. Recent Symposium topics include: Disagreement, the Philosophy of Race, Consciousness, the Philosophy of Science Fiction, Torture, Intellectual Activism, the Philosophy of Emotion, Epistemology, and the Philosophy of Film. Students, faculty, and alumni all participate. Select Philosophy Majors comment on the papers of invited speakers; and alumni present at one session. We are grateful to the hundreds of philosophers who have participated over the last four decades!
